Timber did good
timber for the first time since we got him went up to a couple (whom we asked ahead of time) that he didn't know and he sniffed them in a calm way and went on walking so proudly.
we went on the trail where the pit got him. the dogs were not out when we went by. he showed no signs of trauma.
My husband on the other hand did have the accounter with the same black/white pit. the lady had 7 dogs out. the black pit charged the fence, tried climbing over it ( it isn't fixed yet) so it is still way too short for those dogs. then backed up and charged him again. the male owner came out and his son and it took both of them to get that dog away from the fence so my husband could walk by. took 15 minutes to walk 10 feet.
but all is good and timber seemed to enjoy himself. I will post photos that my husband took as soon as I get them on this computer.
I just couldn't get over it. he wasn't even as hyper when he met the other two dogs. he is getting to the point now he will spin around and stop like he knows it won't get him to meet them and he must turn around to continue walking. so he was very good. he still has work to do,but hey , I take all small steps in the right direction a positive thing.
just had to share all this.
have a happy dog week.
