Default We have two English Staffies should we get another dog

Hi,

My name is Michelle and my husband and I are the proud owners of 2 English Staffies. Monique is nearly 6 and Nelson is nearly 2.

We absolutely love staffies and really wanted to add to our family.

We don't have children and are not planning on having any, so the dogs are a huge part of our lives.

If we got another dog we would probably get a male as Monique is very dominant (being the female) and although she has great fun (and a lot of tolerance) with Nelson, another female would be too much for her. Nelson is a very affectionate dog. He is constantly with either my husband or I and gets somewhat jealous if we show Monique attention and he is left out.

We have 3 grass areas around our house (front yard, back yard and court yard) Plenty of room for 2 dogs and more than enough for 3 dogs.

Do you think we should get a third staffy? My heart says yes but my brain says no. Any advice would be much appreciated

I think the decision comes down to whether or not you have the time and the financial resources to care for three dogs.

If you have the money, the time, and the love... yes.
why is your brain saying no though? If its what your household wants and you can take care of a third dog then there must be a good reason for no.

My heart will always say yes to new additions, but my wallet begs to differ. If you have the resources, go for it. If your brain is telling you no because of financial reasons or lack of time, don't do it.
