This is rediculous!
Me and my husband moved into this house several years ago. The guy that used to live here built it himself. It is nice and spacious with hardwood floors and 4 bedrooms, full basement and attic, large kitchen and diningroom. The bathroom is tiny though. You can take a shower, wash your hands in the sink, and go pee at the same time. My saints and the cats follow me everywhere i go. Doesn't matter where it is. When i go to the bathroom I am followed by 2 saints, 4 cats, and my husband if he is busy talking about something. I cannot close the bathroom door (saints do not move when they do not feel like it), sit down on the toilet, get in the shower without the whole herd coming along for the ride. I have went over to my mother-in-law's house to go to the bathroom before so i could go in peace. When I came out of her door, there were the dogs waiting for me. (She lives a few doors down from me) I have no point to this story except to share the humor and redundance of what life is like at my house when I want to perform the simple action of going to the bathroom. Anybody else have anything they want to say about the silliness around thier house due their pets? I want to hear your stories so I can laugh at you too.

My dachshund Wishbone is as naughty and as sweet as he could. He always do his hunting and digging instinct bringing dead frog or squirrel or smelly trash, and now he got a getting bigger spot on the yard for him to dig. But he's an angel when the elders are here, he loved being pet and watch tv/eat food together with them.

I find it rediculous that I can't fit my entire body on my bed at night because my great dane hogs more room than me and my wife combined! ;-).
I know I'm not the only one with this problem.

That is funny about the bathroom!! Well, my 2 cockers (1 is part golden retriever)--had them for 10-11 yrs now. are pretty spoiled!! They 'own' the glass topped coffee table--cool in the summer. I have to leave the basement door part way open as the mix likes it down there in the summer as it is much cooler--I don't have air conditioning--just ceiling fans. They did own a sofa I had at one time----Lol, actually if you go to my profile page and see my album---You will prob. come to the conclusion that they own the whole (little) house! A co-worker once gave me a birthday present of a picture frame that is shaped like the front of a doghouse and has the word doghouse at the top. It is sitting on top of my computer desk and gave me the idea to use that word in my email address so I call this place The Dog House and I always say to everybody " I don't call this place The Dog House for nothing!" (many reasons but mostly cause they have taken over--But I love the little hon-bunners and wouldn't have it any other way!!) (Errrrrrrr, maybe just a little!) My all cocker-Max follows me all over too and he lays next to the bathroom door too. I made a 'gate' out of some chicken wire over a wooden frame that fits in my bedroom doorway. They can't get in but they can see in. In the morning they are both laying there waiting for me to get up! But don't you just love your dogs--Don't know what I'd do without them!! The little 'bugger-babies!!'

Sorry about my spelling Lara. I'll be sure to go out and buy a dictionary. I agree with RSmith. Trying to fit me, my husband, 2 saints and 4 cats in bed is like working a jigsaw puzzle. Normally, sometime before the night is over someone has fallen out of bed. Last night it was my adult saint bernard, Sammie.

I have a 25 lb Boston terrier, not a huge dog, and he hogs the whole bed and shoves me out! At least your dog is a Dane and has the excuse of being huge!

Nope save your money and just right click on the word that is underlined and pick one of their choices.
I get up every 2 hours to go potty and my 2 dogs think they can steal my spot every time. Why is it the if our hubbies are tossing and turning we wake them up to stop but we will go out of our way not to disturb the dogs if they look comfy (doesn't matter that they are laying on your arm and you can no longer feel it. you just leave it there)

Try one average sized human being, one 42 lb border collie, one 14 lb jack russell and one ornery 16 lb cat all attempting to get comfortable in a double bed.

Lunareclipse, I know where you are coming from! When I have finished in the small room (which is REALLY small too), I often come out to the 2 cats and the puppy all sitting right outside the door! Normally they are arguing about who sits where cause the kitties don't like the puppy touching them, and I hear them through the door. If I am home alone and don't shut the door properly, one of them will push it open and they will all just sit and stare!
When my partner is home he knows by the crowd exactly where I am - no hiding in our house!

I think we feel sorrier for our dogs more than our husbands. We can use verbal skills to communicate why we needed to wake them. But how do you explain to a dog why they need to move? You don't. You just let them cut off the circulation in your legs, drool on your pillow and steal all of the covers. And it is easy yo tell where I am at too. Normally being followed by a very long line of cute and cuddly adorable critters or at the the bottom of a pile of cute cuddly adorable critters. Seems everyone wants to sit in your lap at the same time. And it's normally when you are at your busiest.
