Default If you can choose a breed of dog which would it be?

Hi all,

I was just thhinking last night and I'm curious now.

If you can have 10 breeds of dogs to own which would it be? Breeds that you don't currently own, breeds that you know you can't get, but ones that you would love to have.

I currently have 1 Golden Retriever called Luca, and I will not trade him for the world! He's the awesomest best friend I have ever had.

Here is my list of dogs that I would love to get if nothing had to get in the way (time, money, space etc etc etc etc)

-Great Dane
-Jack Russell Terrier
-St. Bernard
-New Foundland
-Boxer
-Pug
-Rottweiler
-Pit bull
-Bernese mountain dogs
-Doberman

and what is your favorite breed of dog?

mine would be Golden Retrievers, they're so nice and caring, they have the sweetest eyes and they always smile.

Just curious and would love to hear!

I have 2 saints. I love Borzois and greyhounds too, but I don't have the energy to own one. I'll stick with my saintly couch potatoes. You can't help but love 'em.

If I could I would have 2 German Shepherds, Yorkshire Terrier, Shih Tzu and definitely Miniature Pinscher. I would lobe to have Giant Schnauzer.
Right now I have no dog. My German Shepherd passed away 6 months ago. I am thinking of getting new puppy. I can’t decide on a breed, I want them all. Right now my mind is set on Miniature Pinscher.

Great Dane all of the way. I don't know if I could handle another one at the same time as Dixie.... but I don't think I'd ever choose a different breed :-).

I have a border collie X and a shorty wire haired jack russell. I love both of these breeds. However, because I have a serious back problem, I'd get another jack as opposed to a border collie even though my girl has given me so much joy over the years. It is a matter of my ability to lift, bathe, etc. rather than my preferring one breed over another. I also love westies and cairn terriers!

see its kinda cool to see everyone's responses

Some poeple picks the big dogs some the huge ones and some the tiny ones.
I prefer big dogs.

I think I will stick with Golden Retrievers though. They have an awesome personality. Except all that hair! Thank you to who ever invented the FURminator!

Default A Mixed Breed!

Specifically, a cocker-poodle mix. Although it's not technically a breed of dogs, cockapoos have been around since the 1940s.

Alvin is a great pup (6 months) and his new brother, Simon (eight weeks), is a sweet little puppy.

I love those dogs too. A person in the big apartment building across the street has a puppy and I just love seeing it and I had actually thought about getting one for my next dog but I have heard that this shouldn't be going on--designer dogs--That they have many problems (poor babies)--healthwise and agressionwise. Damn back yard breeders!! And being part poodle--Could be a pretty intelligent dog---I have the pure cocker--and I am not knocking his intelligence but the poodle is considered by many as the most intelligent of the many breeds of dogs. So, having a cocker that I am very partial to and combining it with the intelligent poodle would be very desirable to me barring it didn't have the Designer problems.

Default My choice of breed

I would have a working dog waayyy first cos Im a farmer and I need help with the cows, sheep and chooks.
My Husband has just got himself a big bold Lab pup from this site, the dogs for sale part. Real nice pup.
He loves a good gun dog, has had an Irish setter, English pointer, GSP, Curly Retreiver, and a xbred over many years. All were loved.
My son likes running dogs. Is going to mate his beautiful Greyhound to a DeerHound. When they hit top gear on the open plains they take your breath away.
The conclusion of the matter, they are ALL fabulous dogs if trained well.

Some of ours are on my blog
