Dad was tuning the radio and we heard about this program, they were talking to the founder of the program, a puppy raiser and a PTSD Iraq veteran who now has one of these dogs. It was a Puppies Behind the Bars program where the inmates were training to puppies to become service dogs... It was amazing.

What a wonderful program. It not only benefits the inmates by giving them a purpose in life and the joy of interacting with the puppies but, it benefits so many people in need. There is a real shortage of service dogs.

There is a similar service in a woman's prison in Western Canada. These women do doggie daycare and are learning grooming so they'll have a career once they leave prison.

It's a great idea. It's one way of helping inmates behind bars. It would be great to teach them how to take care of dogs even if they're behind bars.

Have watched several TV shows on this program. What a great idea. Nice to see such bad men get all emotional when its time to let the dogs go.
The dogs leave very well trained as well!
