Please help with type of pupp??
Can anyone give me any insight on what type/mix of dog this might be? It showed up at my sister's doorstep. Took it to the vet, weight was 7lbs. she did not ask the age of the dog. The vet thinks maybe a dacshund mix. But I've had people say from Dachsund,to hound,Doberman, rotti! Her paw is aout the size of a golfball or maybe I should say covers a golfball! Please see website below for pics. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Dachsund, all the way
Dachsund, definitely. Because it is so small, the dog may even be mixed with a miniature pincher (based on the skinny little legs).

based on the pic, this is still a puppy. Definitely Dachshund with a chance of Miniature Pinscher or even Chi. Note that the Dachshund though small in overall size (especially the Miniature Dachshund) generally does have large feet for its size. The head shows no Miniature Pinscher and relying on the color is useless as the Chi, Dachshund and Miniature Pinscher come in black & tan. To note, the Miniature Pinscher is the result of crossing a smooth coated Dachshund with an Italian Greyhound. It is not uncommon for a Miniature Pinscher pup to resemble a Dachshund in the first few weeks.

What is it!
well..there are several possibilities with that coloring, but it depends on how tall it is looking and getting.
IT could be a BLACK AND TAN COONHOUND.
Look that up, that is what your picture looks like to me.
It;s CUTE!!
The DOG CHef.
send an updated picture as he gets a bit older and we can tell better.
there is a place you can get dog DNA done. I will post the link when I find it.
You can tell exactly what he is mixed from then!

Too small to be a B/T coonhound.
Looks to be about 12 weeks in the pic (wild guess btw, give or take a couple weeks)
Definitely Dachshund , I dont see Min Pin or Chi in there. I think folks are leaning on MP because of the coloring. But based on the ears, head shape, skull width, etc comparing the obvious Dachshund in it, I think I am seeing some Beagle in there possibly.
Could very well have taken after the Dachshund coloring, but has some features that speak beagle.
It is awfully cute no matter what it is! There is a DNA swab test now that is about $50 that will tell you the breeds present in a mix...not sure its worth doing all that to you.
