I walked my daughter up to the bus stop today. I have never taken the dogs with me, so I thought I would take today and let them meet the kids. All of the kids loved my dogs, except one lady. She told her child not to pet my dogs because they are the same kind that her brother has. I asked the lady what that is supposed to mean. She said her brother got one of "those" dogs and it tore his new furniature to pieces as soon as he left the house. I told the lady that my dogs are very well behaved and she shouldn't base my saint bernards on the way her brother's acts. She turned her back to me and stuck her nose up in the air acting like I didn't have the right to defend my dogs. I can't believe she is filling her child's head with such bullcrap.

There will always be people who are just plain ignorant. Ignore them. Where I live there are a number of Muslims who don't like dogs. One day, I got on the elevator with Lara who weighs all of 14 pounds and this crazy broad started screaming as if I'd brought a 30 foot long anaconda on the elevator and she tried to kick my Lara. Well, I saw RED!!! I told her that if she ever so much as came within 10 feet of either one of my dogs again, I would not be responsible for what was left of her when I got through with her. She has never come anywhere near us since!

my landlord thinks my boston is a pitbull and one day i was in the back yard with him (my whole lot for my trailer is fenced in), my landlord was on his tractor driving past so rylie ran up to the fence and was barking a lil and my landlord says "your pitbull wants to attack me" i was like what? i walked over to the fence, made rylie sit and told my landlord he's a pure breed boston terrier not a pitbull (which i have nothing agienst i grew up having one) and he's just curious at what you are doing and he's just protecting the yard.

he's such a moron, to this day he still calls him a pitbull

There is a pit bull that lives 2 doors down from us. She's a sweetie. The saint bernard is a spaz and so is the Doxi, but the pibble is so sweet.

this really bothers me as well. a lot of people have these misconceptions about big dogs and when they spread their ignorance around its even worse.

you were lucky. my landlord came over and i put my pits into kennels so that they wouldnt lick him to death or jump on him like they like to do. they were laying there quietly and his 8 year old kid went up to the cage and stuck his fingers in the cage, which was no big deal as i knew my dogs wouldnt do anything except get excited and want to come out and play. so i told the kid never to put his fingers into any dogs kennel because you never know if a dog will bite or not. i raised my kids with this knowledge, which i believe all parents should raise there kids with that knowledge, its called a little common sense. Anyway, two days later, we got an eviction notice for having viscous dogs.go figure

I get this kind of crap with my huskies all the time. It makes me so mad. There is one lady I run into almost every day when walking them. She is always yelling at her kids to cross the street to get away from those dogs. They are related to wolves and will bite you!!!

Are you kidding me?? Lick you to death maybe, but never bite!!
My mother in law also had the nerve to come into my home, pick my chi May May up as if she was a dirty diaper and say eewww I hate Chihuahuas. I wanted to floor her. I told her to put her down if she hated them so much and stay away from her. I cant believe some people!!

i know i have a winning landlord. my bf's sister who lives 3 trailers down has 2 rotties and their the sweetest boys ever and hes scared of them too. i guess when he was a kid he was bit by a collie so he dosent liek any dogs.

but yeah i was just floored when he called my rylie, who is only 30 lbs a pitbull.

i tryed to adpot a boxer about a month after and they called him and im thinking he told them no cause i never heard back from the adpoting ppl about this boxer
