I don't disagree with greyhound racing. I do, however, disagree with how the owners treat their dogs. There are some excellent greyhound owners that race their greyhounds. The owner and the dogs go out and have a good time doing it. The good owners are not in it for profit. And there are some pretty crappy owners that is only in it for the money. Those are the ones that need to be addressed. I don't think lure coursing should be frowned upon because of crappy owners. It is a dog sport, like pulling, carting, agility, rally, ect. Now if we could crack down on betting on greyhound races and awarding any prizes other than ribbons like the other dog sports, I bet that a lot of people would get out of the sport. Horse owners don't treat their race horses as awful as some people treat their racing greyhounds after they have outlived their usefulness.
