Default Weird eating habit

Hi, I don't really know where else to ask, but my dog is a 1 year old bearded collie, and his this weird thing that he does. He squeaks his nose on the floor, and I really have no idea why. I videoed him im the act, and posted it on youtube. you can watch that here YouTube - Cute puppy tries to eat food

I really do hope we can find a solution to this.

generally 2 reasons, 1. when a dog does not like the food they will often try to push it away or even toss the dish to get the food out of it. 2. Instinctively, dogs bury their food when not hungry. They will dig a hole and use their snout to cover up the food. As the dog cannot dig through the floor, it will mimic covering it.

I feel this is something that he does, like splashing something towards the food (either water or soil like he's burying it). Poor guy, maybe you should let a behaviorist take a look at him.

He looks like he is just trying to bury his food. When I had my pomeranians they would always do that. When their bowl was on the floor, they would just do like your dog, and rub their noses on the floor, mimicking burying. When their bowl was on a rug, they would push the rug up over their bowl to "hide" their food. I don't really think it is a big problem. It wasn't with my dogs any way. Just one of their silly little quirks.

I agree with everyone above, definitely appears that your pup is trying to bury his food. Silly guy, hopefully he'll grow out of this stage.
