Default be a GREEN dog owner :)

why GREEN?

green is the colour of being an advocate of our environment..

How? we have to start using eco-friendly products for our dogs to help save our planet... instead of using plastics, recycle them..

I use flushable dog poop bags whenever I walk my dogs.. instead of putting it in trash cans, I bring it with me and flush it down the toilet.. it doesn't clog my toilet either and it's eco-friendly..

Let's start now with our dogs..

check this out : flush your dog's poop

Biodegradable poop bags are nothing new, but I'd strongly caution all dog owners to NOT flush these bags down their toilets. Even though they do biodegrade they can still cause serious problems to your plumbing, instead create a compost pile at your house and add these bags to it.

Also, when buying dog treats, toys, etc. seriously put some thought into what the product is, chances are it's packaged using excessive plastics, etc. Go with the bulk treats (that aren't packaged), the toys/chews/etc. that come without plastics, etc.

Everyone needs to do their part

I agree with this, we all have to do our part, especially as dog owners. I have a small compost garden and I have trained my dog to go there so (1) I don't have to pick up anything, and (2) it goes straight where it should go! I also don't buy my dog any plastic toys. I give him straw or hemp tug toys and give him real hunks of bone to chew on.

I hope you are not using this compost in a vegetable garden----Can't remember why but prob. to do with diseases, etc.----(Look it up on the net)-
Cow manure and others--rabbit for another I think are okay.

I just put words in my browser: dog poop not good for vegetable garden---
Here is one site: Is Dog Poop Bad For a Vegetable Garden?
If you want to read more on this --just use the words I used above in your browser--brings up a lot of info!
