I often E-mail pix of my dog because she is the love of my life. So yesterday I E-mailed a pix of her playing in the snow that I took Saturaday. Well one the folks in the E-mail informed that a person who had been included in the E-mail's Maltese had died unexpectantedly the previous week. I felt horrible and apologized. I offered my condolences, She has children so I didn't expect her to say that losing him had been like losing a child. It reminded to let my Meka know everyday that I love her by taking care of her and telling her that I love her everyday. God only gives us these beautiful creatures for a short time and they love us unconditionly everyday. So show and tell your dog everyday how much he or she is loved.

God only gives us these beautiful creatures for a short time and they love us unconditionly everyday. So show and tell your dog everyday how much he or she is loved------I couldn't agree with you more. My 2 'boys'(dogs) are getting older (11+ and 10+) and they have been getting more hugs and attention lately (not that they didn't get plenty before!) just because I am not sure how much longer they have left and yes, they too are like my children and it wouldn't matter how many real children I had--I'd still love them the way I do! Thank you for bringing this up to remind doggie parents!!
