Gracie chews her paws. help!
It's been well over a month ago, I had to take Gracie to the vet because she had chewed her paw to the point it was bleeding, (she digs down deep between her toenails even) also scratching elsewhere with bleeding. Diagnosis was: infected ears and allergies. She was put on predisone and antibiotics. Results were good and she got back to normal, but is now started to chew her paws again. I don't think it's her food, because this is something that doesn't happen all the time... It's been a while since she was groomed, and I'm trying to hold off on a bath because I was told that too many baths are not good for her. Plus it's so cold... Any suggestions? do I bath her or not? Is there something I can put on her paws (safe) that would discourage her from biting at them? She knows I don't like her to do it, so she hides sometimes and starts chewing. This isn't too bad yet, but I don't want it to get like it was.... Thanks.
