I'd go with a Greyhound. In many places in North America (assuming that is where you're located), Staffordshire Terriers fall under banned breed legislation. Owning a banned breed is outright illegal in some places and in others such as where I'm located, they have to all be spayed/neutered, leashed and muzzled at all times. Also, there have been no legal puppies from the banned breeds since 2005 when the ban went into effect here. Any of these breeds who is younger than five that are reported are seized and euthanized. Also, it can be difficult to obtain insurance if you own one of these breeds. Insurance is also a problem in parts of the U.S.A.
I can only really speak about where I live but, there is a real prejudice against people who own these breeds. They aren't welcome at the off leash parks and people will cross the street with their dogs in order to avoid someone walking a banned breed. There are frequent "dirty looks" and verbal altercations. It isn't pleasant for the owners and it can't be much of a life for the dogs to be muzzled all the time and never be allowed to run and play with other dogs.
It seems that more and more places are enacting Breed Specific Legislation. You could be setting yourself up for a lot of expense and heartache by getting one of these breeds. I'm not saying that I agree with it but, it certainly seems to be the trend. My personal belief is that everyone should be 100% liable for the actions of their dog, regardless of breed or size.
