Default My Lance is one smart little Jack Russell puppy.

Just when I was at the end of a long and fraying rope, all of a sudden, Lance is finally "getting it." All day there has only been one little puddle on the floor. Every other time, he has hit the paper for both "jobs." I took him and Lara out for a 3 block long walk and he was "a little trooper!" He walks really well on the leash and he's never been taught any leash training. When we got home, the little guy was so tuckered out that he headed straight to his bed for a nap!!!

Cat pesking and senior dog pesking are still a work in progress but, slowly but surely, he's learning. He always comes when he's called even when we're out in the park and he's learned to sit for a cookie. Not too shabby for a 4 month old puppy!!!

I'm so glad now that Kim (my breeder) talked me into not giving up on him!!! BTW, he is getting cuter every day!!!

What do you expect - he's a Jack Russell and therefore super intelligent and clever than you and me put together. He'll have you fully trained in no time :-)

Sounds like toilet training is going brilliantly - it must be so much harder without a garden to take him out to but you've obviously done well to teach him what you want.

Sooooo glad you decided to keep him. Two are far more fun!

Default cigwyllt:

How right you are!!! The only thing better than one Jack Russell is two of them. Lance and Lara have become really good friends and play together (albeit a little more roughly than I'm comfortable with) all day long.

As for who has who trained, there is a huge stock pot filled almost to the brim with homemade canine beef stew cooling on my stove. It's delicious! All in all, I'd say my training is coming along just fine!

They really are great little dogs!!!

I found that after I had my Manchester Terrier fixed he stopped all mishaps in the house. I work all day and used to come home with a little mess here and there but for some reason after I had him fixed....no more, he will have the rare boo boo but on must parts he waits until I get home. Not sure if that is normal but that is how it happened with me.

Congratulations mate. I really love puppies. They are very cute and loving. They will keep on cuddling with you. How nice. Good to look back those memories with my dog when he was a puppy.
