Any idea what mix this is?
Hi everyone.. I'm new here.
I adopted a wonderful bundle of joy just before christmas... I was told the pups were 7-8 weeks old, so I picked her up. A few days later I called the people back to find out what day she was born, and it turns out she was only just over 5 weeks old!! This poor thing... she wouldn't hardly eat for 2 days.. but we got through it and she is doing wonderful now, and growing like a bad weed!!
We were told the mother was a Chocolate Lab/Husky mix, and they have no idea what caught her, so we don't know who the father is... I've been trying to guess what breed she is... any guesses:?:

Lol, Just posted your 1st post so guess part of my questions (and curiosity) have been answered in this 2nd post you did. I can sure see a lot of Lab there. But your pup is still pretty young to tell what she will look like when older. At least for now you know part of what she is. Pretty dog and it does look like she is growing like a weed--must be about 3 months now? Glad you rescued her and if only 5 weeks old when taken from the mother and siblings would not be socialized very well--Hope your other dog has helped a lot with that! (I assume that is your other dog in the pic?) Looks like they get a long pretty well? Is there a problem with the one eye--In the pics (one pic is not that different looking) it looks like something not right with the one eye---Hope it has to do with the camera and she doesn't have a 'bum' eye! Keep us posted esp. as your dog gets older so maybe can do some guessing on the rest of her 'make-up'---LOL, I have a sneaking suspicion that there is more lab involved--maybe a black lab!! Here is a good site to see a lot of breeds and their descriptions and other info:
Dog Breed Info Center®, DBI
Hey Yogi--Sure glad you had posted this site before. Don't know how many people I keep referring to it--love it --great site!

I have been really concerned with that one eye... I posted more pics in my profile albumns... the vet doesn't seem concerned about the eye... both eyes are multi-colored, which I think may be acting like an optical illusion... we'll know better as she gets older.
Looking at her, her right eye is mostly blue, with a small brown spot closer to her nose. Her left eye is almost half and half, brown and blue, with the blue being closer to the nose. That left eye, the pupil doesn't seem right, but I'm not convinced it that its just because its two different colors. She seems to be able to see fine out of both... only time will tell I guess..
Socially she is great considering she was so young taken from her mother and siblings (there were 4 in the litter). There were 2 all black with white toes on the hind feet, and 2 like Sierra, although the other one didn't have as many 'patches' on her.
I will definately post more pictures as she matures...
Our other dog, Cisco, is a mutt as well... she is a Sheppard/Husky/Collie/Lab mix. Cisco just turned 6 in January. The two of them love to play!!
I've shown her pictures to other dog rescue people, and they seem to think that she's Catahoula Leopard Dog... mostly because of the coloring/markings.
I seems like a good fit to me, but was hoping to get some other opinions.
And yes.. she is about 3 months... she was born on Nov 4/09.

Just checked out the catahoula leopard dog on that link I gave you. Here is the page for that breed: Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog Information and Pictures
Be sure to scroll all the way down to bottom of page as there are more pics following the 'ads' in the mid of page and also a couple more pages to click on for more pics at bottom of this page.
Hope you are right about the eye--poor puppy.
