Valentine's Day
What did you do for your dog to show your love on Valentine's Day?

I'm probably going to buy Lucky a few of those heart shaped iced dog cookies from my local dog bakery. She'll love them! Although her standards aren't very high. We're talking about a dog who eats poop here

Good one Todd. When looking at it that way, I guess I am in the same boat.

Not a whole heck of a lot. I did warm up their breakfast of canned mackerel, egg white stirred in (yolk kept raw), few 'good' bread cubes, my garden squash, and added some yogurt after the rest was heated and a 'dab' of peanut butter on the side. Lol, '2nd course' was a couple sweet potato chips I had dehydrated. All in all--only difference from the norm was the heating, Lol. Can I count that?
Have to mention that my mother turned 90 today--Valentine's Day--also my grandson has the same birthday.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYBODY!!

I heard something today that surprised me, it turns out a survey of people who own pets were asked if they gave them something for St.Valentines day and only 3% acknowledged yes.

Speaking of Valentines too, I found an article of NY Daily News about pet giving on V-Day. Most guys think that giving a dog or any pet would totally impress a girl, but seems like a pet is not always the way to a woman's heart. Most unwanted pets just end up in shelters mostly after Valentines or after any gift-giving day celebrations. Here's the blog where I read it from

Good idea to post this here (or anywhere)Thanks. Hope everyone that sees this article will remember it and pass it on to all clueless people! Prob. the time this happens the most is at Christmas time--sounds like an ideal gift for a child BUT is it!!?? Not only may the child be 'unprepared' but even the gift giving parent may not be either after the warm glow of giving the puppy a home and also wanting to see the excitement on the child's face----Christmas is soon over and the reality of caring for this pup comes into play!
