Buster, the great big stupid dog...
With all of the snow we got, the weight of the snow knocked some big limbs out of our trees. Buster was carrying around a 10 foot limb. He knocked Luna and Sammie down with it. Sammie has a slight limp now. But I see nothing wrong with her paw. x-rays didn't reveal anything. So we are just going to see if it heals. There isn't any swelling or or any puncture wounds. I did get my foot bath out and stick her paw in it with some epsom salts. Buster tried to drink the water. He shook his head and made a weird face because of the taste. Then he stuck his paw in his mouth to try to get the taste out. I gave him some fresh water and he wouldn't drink it for a while. He got over it though. He drank all of the water and made sure the kitchen floor was drenched too.

What is it that fuels our dogs to try and carry around sticks 5 times the size of their bodies?

At least he probably carried cross wise in his mouth. I remember Jeff Dunham talking about his wife's Chihuahua coming into the house running with the stick in his mouth length wise and for some unapparent reason the dog in full run looked down and the stick caught carpet which shoved it further into his mouth and literally pole vaulted the dog. His wife was screaming to get the stick out of the dogs mouth and all he could do was laugh thinking he had found another puppet for his act. A Chihuahua on a stick.....
