Never use ammonia. That will just tempt the dog to mark the same spot again! (Urine has a smell of ammonia)

First blot up as much moisture as possible. Then rub with a solution of vinegar or lemon juice and warm, sudsy water. Blot, then blot again. Next pour club soda over the spot and blot again. Finally, place a dry towel over the stain with a heavy book on top. If the towel becomes soggy, replace it immediately.
