Pet Owners Kindest? Power Of Pet Love
Here's something that I was sent from Dr. Andrew Jones who is a holistic vet. I am on his mailing list. Anyway...Have a look at this. Talks about how pet woners are known to be kinder than non-pet owners and also the power of love in our pets. Enjoy!

Hello Todd,
Re: Horace the Pug
///////////////////////////////////////////////////
Hello again and a Good Morning to you on
this Monday.
I am of the firm belief that pet owners
are kinder, nicer people than NON pet owners.
Especially involved dog and cat owners- like you.
Growing up on a farm, we ALWAYS had animals.
BUT unlike most of my relatives, we NEVER had
outdoor dogs and cats- they ALL lived in our
house and in our beds.
Our first family dog was a Pug called Horace..
likely the MOST unlikely farm dog- who never did
realize why you should stay away from the back of
cow's feet...( hence he had one injured eye)
Horace was filled with personality- snorting ALL
the time, never really listening ( he would have
failed at ANY dog training), BUT he was an awesome
dog.
He loved us and we loved him- he slept in everyone's bed-
including my mom and dads.
IF we went on a trip, Horace came with us.
And of course Horace had his own presents under the
Christmas Tree.
And when he was run over, we were ALL devastated- I think
that's the only time I've seen my Dad cry.
All 3 of us brothers remember that as being one of the
most emotional times growing up.
Wow
My point of all of this is to give you a sense of
what my Dad was like- and how he instilled this
lifelong love of pets.
There is that chicken and egg thing.
Are you a better person BECAUSE you own a
pet, or is it just that KINDER people own
pets?
It doesn't matter.
It just is.
So Thank You Dad for instilling a life long love of pets in me :-)

Good reading----I think Pet Owners are better people because of having their pets teach them how to love---And, lol, your pet can be so subtle at doing it too!

I was also on his mailing list. I finally got fed up with his sales team trying to hawk anything and everything they thought I just might be willing to pay for.

Well, I generally just ignore most of his adds. He does send out some helpful info as well though.

I think this is true, I know it fits me. I only kick the c*** out of people who are mean to animals and children...
in all honesty, I generally find this is true. I definitely get along much better with people who also have pets. Find them to be more even keeled and less stressful.

I was also on that mailing list and finally deleted it as I also got tired of so many emails (Sometimes I am thinking it was not only every day but a couple times a day!) But he did have some good 'stuff' in between the soliciting.---But it just got 'old.' This that you posted, Todd, does seem to be one of his best! Thanks for posting it!

In my case, being an ex bouncer and being big and surly looking especially since most think I have a pack horse tied up outside and a bear and wolf in tow, it would be best to not intimidate anyone if I do not have to....
Besides, who needs a baseball bat. I would far more enjoy using my hands. Sorta makes me warm and fuzzy feeling all over....
