Smile easy brushing

Just thought i would share a tip i use to make brushing my pup a lot easier as she loves to chew on the brush making the job nearly impossible ! I tie a tea cloth in a knot at either end and smear it with peanut butter,give it to maisie which keeps her mouth occupied while i give her a good brush !It does work ! Also while she was teething i did the same thing with the cloth but soaked it in water and froze it overnight ,she would chew it for ages as the coldness soothed her gums !

Hey! That is a good idea--esp. the frozen one! I'll have to remember that when I get my next puppy! ( I never had a prob. with 'em wanting the brush but I suppose others might!)

Thumbs up

Cool tip!

Have any of you ever seen they thing they sell at pet stores? It's a block or whatever that has a patch of course material like that which makes up a tooth brush. You put tooth paste on it (dog tooth paste and Lucky loves beef flavored lol) and the dog just chews on it him or herself. Seems to work fairly well on the back teeth but doesn't do much to the fronts. Of course Lucky already chewed up the part you aren't suppose to chew on...go figure

Here's what I'm talking about;

Sounds good but the way my 2 chew things up (and fast) --prob. do like Lucky and start 'eating' it! I see in the site that there is a store that carries that brand of 'stuff' here (10 miles) and I just happen to be going there tomorrow---will look it up but wish I knew whether it would be in one piece when they got done with it--Have to buy 2 and that's about $20.00! Have to get toothpaste too. Let you know what I decide and if they do even carry that particular item---Stated that some stores might not carry a particular item but they do carry that brand there. Have to check it out (Farm & Fleet).
Have to go there to get some oil for my lawnmower--the kind you mix in with the gas. All the rain and above average temps the last week or so has sure made the grass grow!

They they aren't that cheap. The only reason I found one is because it was on sale at my pet store. To make sure they don't chew the whole thing up u just have to watch them and put it away when you're done. It is suppose to only take 2 minutes.

Just looked on Ebay. They didn't have any there. Craigslist probably wouldn't but I guess it's worth a look.

Here r some on google shopping but they still are far from cheap;

dog chew toothbrush - Google Product Search

1 on amazon;

Amazon.com: Easy Brush Dog Toothbrush SMALL: Kitchen & Dining

I'd also check those pet supplies sites we discussed in a thread b4;

The Best Online Pet Places

In your 1st post--that link you gave sells them for between $9 and $10 and free shipping but as I have mentioned before I will not use a credit card on the 'net.' So-it's the store or No!

Just keep an eye out at the store. See if you can find one on sale.
