She does pick up most things in the garden like sticks and bits of soil but she grabs the dandelions when out walking as we pass them ! i have to be very quick to grab them before thy dissapear into her mouth! I find it very strange ...is she lacking in her diet ??? Hope you can help !

I would only be worried if your lawn or yard or whereever the dandelions are loctaed is being treated treated with chemicals or fertilizers. These toxins can be dangerous to your dog, not the dandelions.

Dandelions is actually an herb for liver concerns and conditions. It is found in many detoxification formulas and diuretics. Dandelion helps to cleanse the liver and kidneys of toxins and strengthens it.

Could this behavior indicate a liver or kidney problem??? To be honest I'm really not quite sure. Maybe, maybe not. Most likely not especially since your dog is only a pup, however to be on the safe side I'd probably take your dog to the vet and have a few simple bloof tests done to evaluate the kidney/liver function. This is something you should do yearly anyhow to check on your dogs current health.

Good luck!
