He's here!!!
Well after almost a year of grieving over the loss of my Akita Kujo and My Husky Nina we decided to add to the family again.
Yesterday we brought home our new 8 week old Akita Seigi (Say-Gee). His name is Japanese for Justice.He's incredibly smart,already lets us know when he needs to go out to potty and in two days he's learned sit,down and leave it.
He has the perfect personality...Laid back yet playful,lovable and very social,not to mention he sleeps through the night..
Now our family is once again complete!
P.S..You'll notice in the pics it says Dontay...That's the name the breeder called him by.

Thanks guys...He's an absolute joy and there's just no describing his personality and temperment. He's certainly filled a painful void for my husband and I left by the loss of our other Akita and our Husky. We look forward to having many happy and loving years with him.I'll update with new pics as soon as I get a chance to load them into my computer.

No I am not a Miniature Doberman, I was around 200 years before Karl Frederich Louis Doberman created the Dobie, and as for my friends the Manx cats, yes they are better at playing fetch than I am, I am a Miniature Pinscher. http://blackhawkkennels.webs.com/

LOL,thanks Yogi.....He has 5 generations of champions in his bloodline and that's just on the dams side!..The parents are beautiful and have a very sound temperment with OFA's of good...Thyroid normal and CERF on eyes as well.....Elbows and patella's are OFA'd as well...It took a lot of searching not to mention driving but he's well worth it!

Heck, you know me when it comes to dogs. I know when you do a great job picking them and little lady, you did a fantastic job. I would take that little guy in a heartbeat...

Thanks Yogi.....He had his first vet appt today and he went from weighing 11.6 last week to 13.10lbs this week..The vet said he's super healthy and has one of the best temperments she's seen in an Akita in a long time...
A male Swiss Mountain dog greeted him at the vet and he had no fear but most importantly no aggression and he showed no interest in the cats that were there either.The vet was able to give him his exam without any hesitation on his part..
I have to admit I think I hit the jack pot with him.

without a doubt based on the way he has handled the situations so far I have to agree, you definitely hit the jackpot with is boy. And growth rate is perfect.

Thanks...he's a little smart alec though as soon as you go to snap his picture he turns his face...lol..But he's a great puppy and a real joy..He gets so excited when we get up in the morning...It's to cute!

Well I just gave Seigi his first bath and I was not only astonished at how much he loved it since Akita's generally don't care much for the water but he actually let me use the hair dryer on him and instead of freaking out he tried to figure out how to eat the air from the dryer...LOL...This little guy just keeps getting better and better every day!
