Update on Seigi
Seigi went to the vet On Wednesday for his shots and now weighs 20lbs!!! He was 13lbs 10ozs two weeks ago..the vet says she's very pleased with his weight coaat and temperment and that we're doing a great job..
I was in the hospital so hubby had to take him and he told the vet how upset I was that I didn't get to give him a bath first and she said he was one of the best smelling cleanest puppies she's had in there in a long time...That made me feel somewhat better...I must admit that I was jealous hubby was bonding with him so much...lol
All though in true Akita fashion Seigi was quite the butt head for his dad while I was gone so that made me feel better. I think hubby was glad I was home so I could take over puppy duty...LOl

Thanks Lara and Nattie I think hubby is ready for tthe later stages...LOL.....it's been pretty warm the past fews days so Seigi has been a lot lazier then usual so he's giving us a little break...LOL
I got really lucky there is only one reputable breeder that I found in Missouri at least that met my requirements anyway and she only had one female and Seigi left and I wanted a male so i wasted no time getting a deposit down for him...
I absolutely love my breeder!....We got to see and meet both parents as well as the rest of her Akita's....I don't think I've ever seen so many in one place that got along so well and had such great temperments!
Mom has a 5 generation champion pedigree and is titled herself and so is dad....dad was a solid white and mom was a combo of black with sort of a silver and red overlay...She's one of the most beautiful Akita's I've ever seen!
I have to say though hubby wasn't to keen on the price she was asking even after I explained to him why it was reasonable but once he saw Seigi and met the parents he had no problem with it...LOL
I knew having him see him first would take care of reservations he had about price...LOL

Yes he is going to be a very big boy!...He's 11 weeks today and he's already a little over 20lbs..
Yes Todd he loves the tile floor now that it's gotten warmer the only place he'll sleep is in the kitchen or dining room because it's tiled..He loves his beds but he won't lay on them with it being so warm...Doesn't help the A/C guy can't come and put freon in the A/C unit until Wednesday.

If he's anything like my Lucky he'll pester the A/C guy to death lol Carry his tools around, jump up on him, lick him, follow him room to room...

You would be surprised, I lasted for many a summer without it. Thou the thermomiter in my car in the summer can show 10 degree celcius difference between my place and Toronto. I have a woodlot and all the trees and shade and grass absorb the heat. You have concrete and ashphalt which seems to increase the heat. A couple of years ago I put in Geothermal heating which at no additional cost gave me cooling, well I gotta say it is kinda nice...!!!! Now I'm spoiled!!!

Be grateful it is not a Miniature Pinscher pup, their teeth are literally like small razor blades. They break skin without even trying....
