I guess if that's the worst he does I'm pretty lucky! The funny thing when our A/C was down I didn't put him in his crate at night because it was to hot and not only did he not have any accidents but he didn't destroy or chew on a single thing...
The carpet he did while we were up and awake!!!.Oh what a typical Akita he is!....lol

Being an Akita, I suspect he was just trying to tell you that he didnt like the rug and that its time for redecoraction......

baaaa hahahahahahahahaha..........we had to get a new fridge cause Kato did the same thing, and we had to put a lock on the outside of the bathroom and bedroom doors cause he started opening them too........gosh they are buggers......to smart for their own good, Kato pinched some smoked salmon out of our fridge when he opened it. At least he has good taste in food

Well little does he know the re-decorating is going to be no more rug..lol..
Maybe hubby can teach him to grab a beer out of the fridge when his games are on so I don't have to...lol
