Default Well I spoke to soon!

Well all the talk I've been doing about what a good puppie Seigi is and the little booger tore up the area rug under my dining room table...The best part is the threading he pulled off he hid vey nicely underneath the rug...lol

I guess if that's the worst he does I'm pretty lucky! The funny thing when our A/C was down I didn't put him in his crate at night because it was to hot and not only did he not have any accidents but he didn't destroy or chew on a single thing...

The carpet he did while we were up and awake!!!.Oh what a typical Akita he is!....lol

I'm just glad I bought a cheap one just for this reason lol...

luckily he didn't actually eat it he just shredded it...I think I'll wait until he's out of the teething and chewing stage to replace it...For now we'll just do without a rug...LOL

It wasn't the amount but the shape. The vet described it as a mass that passed into the intestine then some cords still attached to a much bigger mass that was too big to pass through the duodenum and was suck in the stomach. It the accordioned the whole GI tract. I am lucky to have a skillful vet and a live dog.

was the dog throwing up bile at the time? This is what happened to a dog I know when he swallowed part of a toy.

No no bile as I remember, but she wouldn't eat and that was a BIG signal from her as food is life to her.

I sent you an email earlier! Here is a link to a thread done in this forum previously---not the best to answer your problem but may be some tips here you can use: bad idea to get two puppies?

How long has the fighting been going on? When did u get them? Did u get them both at the same time? What are there sexes? Are they fixed? Does one seems to instigate fighting over the other? Is there one more dominant than the other?

As you note in your post that they are 8 month old brothers, the question is are they neutered? If they are not and do not sound like they are, this is your problem.
Get them neutered promptly or you may have to part with one. They are sexually mature and therefore are becoming territorial. The fighting will not stop unfortunately until the matter is resolved, and even then it may still be a problem.

Many breeds have same sex aggression! Akita's being one of them...I'm not sure if your breed is prone to this...

I do agree however if they're not fixed do so right away!!!!
