Does anybody know where I can find the "unofficial nicknames" of the most popular dog breeds?

The sort of thing I mean is the way, for instance, that the Newfoundland is known as "The Gentle Giant", and the Airedale Terrier is known as "The King of Terriers."

I'm looking for a comprehensive list of these nicknames - I found one website - called dog-names - but the list seems not to tally with the nicknames I've heard in the past.

Anyone feel like starting a list? Or pointing me in the right direction?

I doubt if there is a definitive list but I love Jack Russell Terrors! But I do agree that the Airedale is known as The King.
