Angry Vet!

Ok so this is the story....we got our husky fixed a couple days ago. I asked if a E Collar would be needed...they said no, wouldn't let me get one....so she rips out her stitches...take her that next morning....they fix it up...still don't allow me to get an E collar....then for the 3RD time, the finally let me get the E Collar! She had ripped her stitches out TWICE! Idk why they wouldn't give me an E collar when i needed one! Took three trips to the vet just to get an E collar and some antibiotics to keep if from getting infected....Just really irritates me! Stressed me beyond belief!

That sounds like a poor vet advice not letting you give her anything that could prevent her reaching her stitches, poor little girl. Doesn't the vet recommend a cone?

UGH...how frustrating! There's nothing worse to than having to deal with the same problem over and over again, when clearly there was a solution. I know how you feel I've had the same problem with a large animal vet.

Good luck, I hope you dog gets better soon!

Every animal who leaves our clinic after surgery wears an E collar. It's not an option, and it's factored into our quotes for surgery. We don't have any cases of animals chewing out their stitches.

Hope your girl is recovering well.

Sounds to me like that vet doesn’t know what he/she is doing..... It clearly could have been prevented!
