Who Takes Care Of Pet Waste At Dog Parks? - Madison News Story - WISC Madison

Don't know exactly what this 'collector' uses it on, but I do know it should not be used for compost/gardens!

Sounds like a good idea for more cities to do--collecting but I also wonder how 'safe' this is---diseases, etc! There would be a lot of 'potent crap' (Pun intended) full of possibly disease and bad bacteria---many different dog 'samples' here to mess with. (Hey guys! I really wasn't trying to make all these puns here!)

If they 'cook' it (ew, right?) it'll still contain good nutrients like nitrogen necessary to fertilize plants but not the pathogens like bacteria and viruses.

Well I guess you could say one man's crap is another man's treasure (pun intended)...I have to agree that using it on plants intended for food is a interesting idea...not sure I agree with that, but then several people use horse poop on plants and veggies. Guess the rule of thumb is wash your produce really well if you buy from this guy!!
