One of my friends has a puppy that looks EXACTLY like that... even the ears are the same and it was a german shepard/ chow mix. Cute puppy!

He does very much look like a Shep x Chow, is his tongue spotted or blue? He may also be a Shep x Rough Collie... My parents had one that looked alot like your baby, but a slightly lighter coat

His tongue is definitely pink, and he is really fluffy around his head, the rest of his fur looks more relaxed, like a shepard.

thanks for the info, lots of goodpoints. So a bit of an update, diesel is now 6 months ans weighs 30 lbs. Is this norm for a pup(sheppard) at tis stage

I use to have a Shiloh Sheppard that had the long hair around the neck that made it look like a lion. Looks just like him.
