Getting handsomer all the time. Wish pics were a little bigger though! I think that 1st pic is  the way it looks like the head of the wolf/dog on the blanket/throw is real and in just the right spot!
Lol, can you make the pics bigger next time---need to see him 'more.':smile:

Thanks and I will try and get them bigger. I was surprised they came out as good as they did because I took those with my cell phone..I didn't want to run for my camera because he wouldn't have stayed on the couch since he's under the impression I can't walk into another room without him...lol

They are good--Hey! I am not up on all the technology of today so I don't have any idea on how things are or are not done--that includes computers and phones and cameras! Lol, He sounds like a little (big) mama's teddy bear.

I love seeing Seigi grow. I know I'm a bit biased with him being an Akita. He is such a cutie!! And he looks so TALL. Any idea on his height? It's always so hard to tell in pictures.
Are there any new fun stories? I know you said he was starting his akita talk last time you posted.. If you'd like to see Kuma, I have an album up now. She did turn out to be a long coat.

His height is almost 24 inches at the withers...Moms is 25 and dad is 27 both on the high end of the standard...He is continuing with his Akita speak however now we've moved on to grunts and he's also decided the rocking chair/recliner is his...He knows how to use his looks to his advantage and all though it doesn't work on me it totally does on hubby!!!
He's also found a new hiding place when he's in trouble...Inside my hubbys base drum...lol...He really is becoming quite the character and I love it...He's also discovered the Akita lean as if that wasn't going to happen...It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't so freaking heavy!!!

I'll bet he'll at least get to 27" when fully grown. In just looking at the pictures, he LOOKS to have a ton of personality Who could blame your hubby for giving in to that cuteness.

I think he'll reach 27 easy especially with dad being 29 and mom being 26. Hubby spoiling him wouldn't be so bad if Seigi wasn't such a brat to start with...lol

They are all naturally brats when they are puppies.....
He is looking better and better. Definitely a big boy....using the term loosely...
considering in another year or so he will definitely be full of himself...

Well were completely taken by surprise yesterday...We had to go to the vet to get his heart worm pill and took him with and we take him with us so we can way him...Are you ready for this? He was 90 freaken pounds!!! He's only 7 1/2 months...This dogs going to be a horse!

YIKES!! I had to check the chart....says 90lbs by 18months approx for a male!...You very well may have a horse on your hands and not even know it! :shock: He will be one monster Akita when he's all done growing.

Well his mom was almost 90lbs and dad 110-115 plus the 3 generations back were also 100 plus and he does take after his grand and great grandparent....I also think it has a lot to do with what he's fed. Plus he's already 24 inches and standard is 26-28 full grown!

He's about 2 1/2 months older than Kuma and she's not even 40 yet. According to the chart she is always under or on the lowest end@any given month. Right now I won't complain because she's already a pain to lift by myself. lol But it is amazing how different the growths can range.
Gotta love the Akita..I seen an adult yesterday, I was so excited! I don't often run across them.
BTW Did you get to see the Dad? I bet he was a site to see!

I did....He's a solid white and huge! let me see if I can dig up the mom and dad pics I have....Found them,the top one is dad the bottom is mom...Her pic is harder to see because she's so dark

Do you have a chart for saint bernards? Buster is 17 months and weighs 140lbs. Do you know what he might weigh at 2 years?

I don't have a growth chart but from what I just read the average weight for an adult make is 130-180 so he's right on the money...He'll probably gain another 10lbs or so.

:shock: WOWZERS,90 pounds.............he might top Kato, who is now about 115, we thought Kato was a big tall solid boy. Seigi might top him some day soon
OK so i got my weights wrong, im used to metric so 115 was a haphazard guess. Kato is 123 pounds last weigh in (56 kilo metric)
