I give in!
In April hubby and I bought new living room furniture and I got myself an awesome recliner...Well Seigi's been trying to claim it for his own for months...He climbs up on it and lays down and watches T.V even though he's such a lard butt he falls off half the time...Well tonight he's in the recliner doing the usual of watching T.V...After 20 minutes I finally get him to get out of the chair...Well when I go to sit in it after brushing off the pile of hair he left behind I realize I'm being poked by something in my lower back and my thigh...Well Seigi hasd about 5 toys stuffed in the sides and the back of the chair!!!
I put them all back in his toy box,get up after awhile, next thing I know he's back in the chair with each one of the toys I just put back..So Seigi officially owns the recliner but he's not getting my bed!!

Our new doggie took Ryan's recliner. And Ryan found a half eaten, slimy bone with peaneut butter all over it in his chair. He said he almost tossed his groceries.

I'd rather have a dog invasion than a flea invasion.

Nattie have you noticed that Kato and Seigi are almost the same color and their masks are almost identical?

I did actually............where did Seigi come from who are his parents??? Although we are in Australia, Katos father is actually originally from the US, its not impossilbe, (in actual fact bumped into another US lady who couldnt get past the similarity of her dog and Kato, who we then worked out they were related)
Wouldnt that be funny if they were related somewhere.

Him and his parents come out of Wright City Missouri....His breeder is Barbara Lawson and the kennel name is CJ'S Akita's.

Katos lines run from Minda Akitas, not exactly sure of their location in the US though.

You two need to pull out the pedigree and start tracing it back. Odds are that somewhere in the line you will find a common sire or dam.

Minda Akitas are in the Northwest US somewhere. They are really good reputable breeders. They show their dogs in conformation and get all of the appropriate testing done before they breed.

No neither are long coat, just the genes for it
The breeder priodically gets LC pups from those two, but I think she still chooses to pair them because she gets some very good quality normal coats out of their litters, Bruce and Wind Dancer together has produced many champion pups.

My breeder gets a few long coats now and then to and you're right it's the gene pool because all of her sires and dams are normal coats.

Well now the fun begins...We had to run some errands yesterday and when we got home Seigi wasn't at the door to greet us in his usual fashion...Of course I freaked out and started looking for him...Well I found him...Laying quite comfortably in my bed with his head on my pillow...The fat butt finally figured out how to get up there...Now I don't just have to vacuum the couch but the bed as well....YIPPEE!!!
