HI

I have a Yorkshire Terrier, and it's kind of odd how obsessed he is with tennis balls, but I have been googling it all over the place & I see that it is not uncommon for Yorkies. I was wondering if anyone knows a way I can sort of lessen the obsession from this toy. I know it seems easy, "give him a new toy", but the thing is that if I give him squeaky toys, he will chew them up within a matter of minutes. Therefore, there will be stuffing all over the house, which is a pain in the butt to clean up.
I'm sure people are going to say it's not that bad having a dog who just likes to play. But if you saw him, you would understand what I mean...
If he smells a ball, he will find it and keep it in his mouth wherever he goes.
If he knows a ball is hiding somewhere, he will stand by the hiding spot and stare at everyone until someone gets it for him.
I'm beginning to think it's a tad bit unhealthy for him to be so attached to something.
Is there a way I can get him to maybe relax more? Help
