Ok so you guys know when Seigi was small he really never gave me a problem...he was a pretty good little guy never really getting into much.

Well apparently he's decided it's time to make up for being so good by being rotten...he's learned to open the lid to the garbage can with his nose,he takes paper out and mind you he doesn't chew it he just drops it on the floor somewhere...Anything left on my night stand including the alarm clock he promptly takes off and drops on the floor...he drags his one dog bed,(yes he has more then one) into the dining room...He then waits for me to put it back and does it again...he ate my reading glasses,still never found the missing lens,I'm still looking for my missing candle,he ate a pen and somehow managed to get in my laundry room and chewed up the empty laundry soap bottle!!

I haven't decided if he's in the typical Akita testing faze or just decided it's no fun to be a good boy...lol

Gee Ree, It sounds like you have a Marley in the making or a Buster! Seriously --I hope he doesn't do or eat something to do serious harm to himself! My Corky ruined a pair of my glasses when he was in that stage---Call it the terrible two's like for kids maybe? He also chewed up the vcr remote way back when. Not to mentioned destroying the plaster on the walls. Hope he settles down soon!

Oh, I feel for you. Hopefully, it is just a faze.

When I can't take them with me to town, I can almost guarantee that something has happened in the house while I've been gone. The other day, our little female pulled the back covers off of 2 books (she didn't chew them, just ripped them off the book.) This was my "punishment" for not taking them along.

He's 9 1/2 months which is around the typical age for their first testing faze...it starts usually between 9 -12 months and usually lasts about 2 weeks....They usually do it once to twice a year and depending on how firm you are with them that you're the alpha will last between 1-3 weeks...they're very dominant and will try from time to time to be the boss...The boys are typically more stubborn breaking them out of it then the girls.

My poor baby busted his butt on the ice today...He was sprawled out on all fours and couldn't get enough traction to get up...We had to stand him up and hubby carried him in the house...Just glad hubby was home because there's no way I could've carried him since he only weighs 10lbs less then me!

if it was icy, you would have at least just been able to push him part of the way...lol
