I think it would be neat to list our dog's birthday so we could maybe find a match--fun! I just recently discovered that my Max (Cocker Spaniel) has the same birthday--even the same year!--Born on exact same day--as a member in here that I also email back and forth with--She just happened to mention her dog's birthday and it sure surprised the heck out of me to see the exact day and year as my dog. I will give an example by starting with my dog:

BIRTHDAY----NAME--BREED(S)-----MEMBER'S NAME

April 1, 1999--Max--cocker spaniel--Corky/Max

Could even post a post under this thread when/if you find a match letting members know if you wanted to. Example:

MEMBER NAMES------BIRTHDAYS

Corky/Max and Tucker--April 1, 1999 (Of course could only put the year if the same year!)--Could add breeds here too.

Decided to give my rescue Sami (Golden/Retriever mix) an Adoptaversary as DeafDogsRule has done--Rescued her on Dec.6 and since she is figured to be about 10--Dec. 6, 2000 it will be!

Gee, I just reread all the posts here and it appears that I have picked the same Dec.6 for the adoptaversary for Sami as DeafDogsRule has picked for her Boo! So I guess we rescued on the same day!

I have already got a match for each of my 3 dogs. (counting Corky who is deceased)

My dogs dont have birthdays (well, I guess they do, but I dont know them) my dogs have Adoptaversaries I'll put their approx. age at adoption beside their Adoptaversary.

June 13 (1998) was my Corky's birthday---The Cocker/Golden I had to put to sleep this past June. He missed his 12th birthday by 3 days.

Wow! so neat to find these types of connections (and both have dogs in the family names Mia lol)
I bet you miss Corky terribly and sorry to hear that he missed his birthday, but I'm sure he had a fantastic life with you! And so glad that you have now rescued another older dog to be with.

I am always going to miss Corky but having Sami now does help some, especially since I think Corky had a 'paw' in directing me to her. Sami has put new life into my Max too.

Yes, I wish this was a topic/forum instead of just a thread. A thread can get 'buried' after a while when people stop replying to it. Lol, maybe the Administrator will see this idea again and make it one! (I hope!)

My Bailey was born on Feb. 25th, 1997. She'll be 14 years old this year...

Lara was born on Dec. 30th, 2009. She turned three years old this year.
