So sad yet a true testement to the bond between people and their dogs. As sad as it is to read it's nice to see that such a wonderful and loyal dog was recognized for the life saving work he did!

I have been browsing this site and I am so pleased that you have so many articles on working dogs as that is my interest. We have worked in disaster relief for 20 years and if I was young enough, I would be one of the first to volunteer in Japan. It touches my heart when I see the dogs on duty there. There is just so much they can do to enrich our lives as well as save lives. Thanks for posting so much.
