It's time already
Wow does time fly...Seigi goes to the vet tomorrow for his first yearly check up and his Rabies vaccine. I can't believe that my fur baby is now a fur kid and 13 months old!
I guess I'll have to head out to the backyard with him and brush him out. He's blowing his coat and looks a mess...Luckily I already gave him a bath a week ago.
I've always found it just as amazing to watch puppies grow into adult dogs and go through their milestones. To me it's just as fun to watch them as it is a smalll child.I have to brag though and say that Seigi is one of the smartest Akita's I've ever had and reached his mile stones ahead of time. He's made me a very proud mommy!

Oh yeah! It's a blink of an eye. Can you still remember him as a little pup? For me, my memory seems to fade fast unless I see a photo or video which'll trigger something in my foggy brain. Too bad you don't live close so that I could drop Kuma off to get brushed next!
Congrats to a year well done with Seigi How much is the big hunk weighing now?

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"

Lord Lange his big a** is just shy 0f 125 lbs so he's gained another 3....The vet was astounded because when she saw him last which was when he got neutered right around 5 months old she swore he wouldn't be more then about 95 lbs but I remember telling hubby I wasn't buying that and I could see him hitting 110 at the very least. She was quite happy with him though and said since he's on the taller end of breed standard and he's really solid she thought his weight was fine. As for picturing him as a pup I have to look at his pictures to and I never fail to be amazed at how fast and how much he's grown. I wish you lived closer to. We could let them have play dates so I don't always have to be his source of entertainment lol...As for brushing Kuma I thought you liked me lol...Giving Seigi a really thorough brushing is a minimum of an hour and now you want to punish me with Kuma? Who's a long coat on top of being an Akita! LOL...He's been in a full coat blow for over 2 mths now...It's driving me crazy. I've got clumps of his hair everywhere. I run the vac at least twice a day!

Just goes to show what Yogi is always saying...vets aren't experts in all doggie avenues. Seigi will easily be over 130lbs later. Probably 5lbs alone in the head! LOL
Aww, I love u Ree but since u were already getting yourself full of fur...I thought what's a little more?? lol I recently added vacuuming to my sons chores..not a coincidence now that we have Kuma. You can't blame a girl from wanting a little help anywhere she can get it. It would be cute seeing Seigi & Kuma play together!

Luckily when I was breeding the fur balls all 4 of the kids were still at home so I took hair patrol during the day and they took turns doing it at the end of the day.
You're right about his head..He caught me in the knee with his block head a few days ago and now there's a huge bruise. Him and Kuma would have a great time...Especially since he just melts around females lol...He has 2 current girlfriends at the moment. One is the English Bulldog next door and then 2 houses down is the Germn Short-haired Pointer.Of course neither of them are quite as interested in him lol.
