Default Getting antsy...

Nobody claimed the little guy we want to adopt, so we go and get him tomorrow. I can't wait. I have a box and a jar of peanut butter and a leash. I can't remember what size hims little neck is so we don't have a collar. Is there anything else we need in order to have a good trip home? I remember when we brought Luna home and that was almost a disaster because she tried to climb in the front seat and sit on the steering wheel. I think this guy is small enough though that he shouldn't cause any problems like that. You never know though... OH! I just remembered, we'll need a blanky to put in his box. He's going to move into Buster's old crate when we get him home. I dug the divider out of the back of the closet and it's all good to go. We need to go get food and water dishes for him too. Metal ones this time. Buster's dish is too tall for little doggies. We did buy those heavy duty plastic ones and Porter chewed them up. I swear one day I will get that dog a muzzle so he can't chew anything else.

How far are you travelling? Manny was horrendously sick on his first journey. I had a large box lined with layers of plastic bags and towels so that when he was sick I just scooped up one layer and left him with a clean one.

45 minute trip. Much shorter than when we went and got Luna. Luna was 4 1/2 hours away.

That was the same sort of time we had with Manny. I had no idea such a small puppy could contain so much yeuch LOL!

I hope ours doesn't get car sick. Buster does and we can't take him any further than the dog park before he's tossing his kibble.

Cool

Hooray!!Can't wait to hear more and see the little guy!! Lol, just wondering if peanut butter is the best idea if he does have a tendency to throw up in car rides. My daughter's boxer mix also throws up every time it goes for a ride. She won't even bring him to my place--10 miles.
