Default Mr. Sweaters got a bath

He absolutly hates the water. How do I get him to like water? He's an australian shepherd for crying out loud. I want a doggie that likes the water and will swim in the kiddie pool with our two-legged runt.

My Aussies loved the water, especially if a duck or goose taunted them from the shoreline. They would jump in and swim after them trying to catch them.
You have to keep working at it. Start with a frisbee and teach fetch. This breed generally loves this and once becomes somewhat obsessed with the frisbee you can try tossing into the pool. eventually the will to get his frisbee back will over take the natural inhibition with water. But to note, not all dogs know how to swim so the first time he gets into water that is deep, watch him carefully. Too many people are under the assumption that all dogs can swim but in fact this is not true.

Oh, this is a little kiddie pool. The water will be 5 inches deep, max. He could run through it. He wouldn't have to swim.
