I've never thought much about gum before..adding it to my mental list.

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"

Thanks for posting that Luna! I still have no sound on this new computer and I really have to get my computer guy here to fix things but, lol, I need to clean my house 1st and been too busy outside and doing other things!

I got the 'drift' of the video without the sound and was thinking it prob. had to do with a 'hazardous' ingredient---being xylitol! I saw the ingredient Aspertime (misspelled) but I don't think that was the problem. Can you give me any info I may not of heard that is significant? Did it cause problems with the dog's liver or kidneys or both? And how is the dog doing--any permanent side affects? What (if any) comments were made about that pretty white dog that walked 'across the screen?' I know I have mentioned Xylitol in the thread I started on Hazardous things for a dog. This is a good place to give a link to that thread as there are many, many hazardous things to know about: (
Foods that are hazardous to a dog

Important reminder---You have to check the label of things to know if a lot of poisonous ingredients might be listed there!!!!
Xylitol is a good example of this!

This was the vet's dog. He chewed up her backpack and ate a whole package of gum. Since she was a vet, she was able to save him in time. The whole news piece was about gum being bad for dogs.
