Cute! A good laugh and I learned something new... I never knew they were big on barking.

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"

Porter doesn't bark that much, but when he does, it's normally for a good reason and he very rarely barks at night unless someone is trespassing on our property. They do tend to run around the fence and bark when you first let them out to let everyone know there is a guard dog on duty, then after that they only bark if something alarms them. My next door neighbor is grateful for Porter because since we got him, his house or garage hasn't been broken into. Porter's bark runs off any intruders the moment they set foot on the property.
