Default Chance

Well guys despite our best efforts and Chances Seigi just will not tolerate him in the house..So tomorrow he will be going to live with the lady that runs the rescue..His living situation here is just not fair or conducive to his needs and with the wicked MIL due in Wednesday Seigi will be even more on edge..We're pretty bummed out as we wanted to keep him and work with him until a forever home for him but it's simply not fair to him to keep him confined to the laundry room..

I have to admit for all of the destruction he's caused and his continuos barking I am going to miss the little guy..He's one of the most lovable dogs I've ever encountered..So please keep him in your prayers that he'll soon be in his forever home!

It's a shame you have to give up your little guy. I was hoping you would get to keep him. Our new little guy has adjusted nicely and lays on the sofa and on whoever is on the sofa and lays on the other dogs. he's a good doggy and he never barks. I think his barker doesn't work right. He squeaks sometimes.

I was going to say the same as Luna--Was hoping things would work out and you could keep him. At least you 'saved' him and got him started to finding a good forever home.

I'm sorry, Ree. I'm sure it;s not an easy decision to make. You guys did a lot for Chance. He's been in good hands since you saved him. If it weren't for your determination who knows what would have happened to him. You & hubby should feel good for what you've done for him.

Best wishes to Chance on his journey to his new home.

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"

We were really hoping Seigi would give in so we could keep him..I'm really good at tuning out the barking so that doesn't bother me to much but I just can't take the chance of Seigi really hurting him and with the MIL coming back on Wednesday Seigi's mood is going to go straight to h*ll..Chance also needs a ton of excersise and with hubby and I not having the best health it makes it hard. If we were able to keep him in the house we could at least toss the ball around with him but Seigi's just not having it..That's one of the downfalls of having an Akita..They tend to have issues with dogs of the same sex..Seigi's by far not the worst I've seen but with one bite he could possibly kill Chance and I don't want to take that chance..It would've been much easier if the little guy was a female since Seigi turns into a complete sissy around them lol..I was hoping once the little guy was neutered Seigi would chill at least a little but that hasn't happened.
