Ummm, he's barely 2 months old and that's what puppies do..They don't come instantly housebroken and they sometimes whine when they're taken fron their litters..he needs to be housebroken..If you are not equipped to deal with what comes along with owning a puppy perhaps you shouldn't have excepted him..You need to sign up for puppy classes so you can learn how to train and housebreak the liitle guy!

You don't get animals for children as gifts. So many of those "gifts" end up euthanized in shelters because the parents don't want the responsibility of taking care of them. Dogs are living, breathing beings. Your dog is a little puppy. You are expecting entirely too much from it. Would you expect a 6 month old human baby to go to the potty all by itself with no training? Would you expect human baby to not cry when it needs or wants something? Dogs are the same. Instead of a human baby, you have a furbaby. It takes a lot of time and patience to raise your furbaby to do what you want it to do. And unless your kids are moving out and taking the dog with them, YOU are the primary owner of the dog and any and all responsibility for taking care of the dog falls completely on you. That includes feeding and watering, training and taking for walks. And letting your dog out to go potty.

I dont know how old your children are, but I would suggest joining a dog 4-H group. This will help your kids learn how to take care and train your new dog. I did this with my son, he trained and took care of his own dog, He was a stray puppy at the time, he was my sons first and only dog. He did a wonderful job with him. 4-H is a good learning activity your children can do , and the dog will enjoy it too.
