Trying to figure out what breed my puppy is.
My fiance and I just recently had a new member added to our family.....a 6week old 1/2 Malamute puppy and the other half, we're trying to figure out........I am trying to find out what kind of dog hops instead of runs.

She has the body of the Malamute.....kind of.....and a stocky head, floppy ears, wide shorter snout and a medium length heavy coated tail....but the fur isn't long on her tail.
We're trying to figure out what she's mixed with.....Emma Marie is a really good little girl.....just curious as to what she has other than the Malamute so we can guesstimate how big she might get.

It would be helpful if you can share a picture. When I think of a dog with a stocky head I think of pit bulls. If the puppy is only 6 weeks I would think some more prominant features will come out later with her, like most puppies won't have fluffy tails until they several months old.

She's beautiful. She looks like a German Shepherd mix to me. Was her mum a Malamute? Whatever breeds are in her, she's gonna be big!

She definately is a doll. I really couldn't guess to be honest but something in the eyes and ears says possiblilty of a lab. I think it will become more apparent as she gets older.

what breed is my puppy???
hi there,
well i reckon that they are right, there's definitely some alsatian in him/her, although i don't remember my alsatian puppy being that bouncy. it' possible that the other parent had some other form of large breed dog in him/her, and from the look of the photo and the quite short snout (for an allie), and especially from the eyes, i would have to say that that there is possibly some Boxer in it, although i would sway towards Rottweiler because of the eyes ( that look is hard to breed out)
all the best with your new home-wrecker!!!!
loz, kel and alex.

puppy breed
hi, i know this might sound crazy, but i was browsing the internet to see what hybrid my puppy is and i ran across this site : Carol's Wolf Dog Den's Puppies
yes, it does say texas wolves but you really should go and look and see what the puppies look like. they look like the puppy posted "you found in your email". I hope it helps, although ur puppy being a wolf is rather unlikely. haha

Surely there's a GSD in her, adorable puppy. Congratulations, maybe she's too young to be separated with her mother, it's ideal around on her 8 weeks of age.

Most of the time, dogs are fine to be separated after around 6 weeks of age (when they are normally done weening).
