Cashew was FOUND alive and well!!! On Saturday, a lady saw him wandering the streets and picked him up. He didn't have his collar on anymore. She put a leash around his neck and let him lead her. He actually led her to an apartment building. She rang the doorbell and the lady who answered said: "Oh yeah, I kept him for 3 days but then I just put him back outside..." I couldn't believe my ears! Who in their right mind would just put a dog back outside (in a large city, on a busy street). So the lady who found him on Saturday went to the SPCA and she got my friend's phone number, called her up and then brought Cashew back home. I am SO grateful to this woman. I gave her a call (after my friend was smart enough to ask for her phone number). I still can't get over the fact that people just pick up dogs and keep them, and then if they change their minds, they just "let them back out". In any case, I am SO happy he's OK. I had posted a million pictures of him on the Internet and my friend posted pictures of him throughout our neighbourhood. I'm just glad we have a HAPPY ending... So in a few weeks, I am flying to Montreal to bring him back to Bermuda, along with my terrier Pistache and my cat Zazou. We can't wait to be reunited!

I'm so happy you found your dog. It must have been devastating to have lost your dog. I'm so glad you have him back. it's a shame that people can just treat dogs like there a piece of garbage, one minute they want them, then the next they don't. But I'm happy for you. :
