Hi, im new here and i just got a puppy 2 weeks ago from a shelter but i dont know what breeds she is! Im really curious to know what she is so please leave your opinions!!

The shelter said that she is a German Shpherd mix, but I dont see that in her. My guess is that she's a border collie/lab mix. She is very hyper at times but can also be pretty calm, usually she is such a sweet, follows-me-everywhere pup. Right now she is 12 weeks old and is around 20 lb. She has soft black fur (with brown tips) on her had and shoulders, but her lower back fur is black and more bristly. She has white toes and a white claw or two on almost every paw. She has a very long tail that curves upwards and her ears are pointed but hang down. She also has a little white on her chin and chest.

Any guesses?

I'd say for sure that one breed is a lab by looking at that last picture. I have no idea what the other breed would be.

yea we're pretty sure she is too, she has the lab personality too!

i agree with your hypothesis!..

the eyes are SUPER similar to a border collie..and the body/ears remind me of a lab.


you can always check with a vet. they would know.

Like everyone I also think the dog is mixed with a lab. Also with the white markings on his paws I am guessing it is also mixed with a pitbull. You should ask the person who you got the dog from to know for sure.

I use to foster small dogs before I had kids and she is a sheperd mix, probably part shepard, part lab, maybe because of the paws a bit of pit. Her parents were probably half breeds so shes prolly a little of all three, but I definatly see lab and shepard in her. Not so much the collie , I've had collie mixes and none looked similar to her.

The last picture reminded me of a pit bull, too. And of course I see the lab influence.

I think this puppy looks too specific to those breeds to be called a "Heinz 57 Variety."

In that case, my dog must be a "Heinz 57 Variety". lol
