Default Bathing

How often do you bath your dog? I bath mine once a week now that it is summer and it appears to help cool him off. That seem too extreme or is it ok to bath him so much?

I bathe my dog 2 times a week. I was told by a vet not to bathe my dog more then that. But I think once a week is good too, puts less stress on the dog.

Bathing removes the natural oils in the coat. What you should do is brush the dog on a daily basis.

Just out of interest why would you want to bathe your dogs anyway?

You mean you are actually able to get your dog into a bath, I wish I was able to do that. My dog is so big, he will lets me know what he doesn't like, and taking a bath is something I "KNOW" he doesn't....:???:

Getting my dog to take a bath is a task. I have to put him on a leash and have him stay. With out the leash, he tends to run away. Afterwards, I give him some treat and dry him up. We go through this routine all the time.
