[Seppala]

Well as I have told you all I own a 5 month old Seppala; well last month we took him camping for a week with my husbands family. My husbands uncle has a 5 year old Border Collie and this dog kept attacking my poor dog (6 times) even when my dog was on a leash. My husbands uncle says this is normal dog behavior and we should let his dog attack ours!!? Is this really normal behavior? Personally I feel like my dog is my "child" and since I decided to get him it is my duty to protect him my husband also feels the same as I do; he ended up kicking his uncle dog. I'm still annoyed and not looking forward to next year; although I keep thinking my dog will be a year and a half and a lot bigger than his dog I might let my dog attack his. :twisted:

That is normal dog behavior I think to protect their territory. But you should not let your dog be attacked like that. Your uncle should of stop his dog from attacking yours. If you let the dog do what they want then they will keep on doing it. You are right your dog is like your puppy so you should take care of it very well.

Yea we told my husbands uncle to watch his dog and he kept claiming his dog wasn't in the wrong; my sister in law also showed up with her 8 month old beagle and her dog was attacked by his dog also and he did nothing. All our dogs ended up getting chained up cause he let his run wild; it was so unfair.

I am sorry but if someones dog attacked mine I don't care if it was family or not the aggressive dog would be chained at ALL TIMES or me and hubby and our pup would have cut the trip short and went home! But then again if you knew me I am VERY BLUNT and take NOONES crap LOL!!! That can be good and bad, me and my uncle would have had it out.. hehehehe
