Default Dandruff. Yuck!

Today, while brushing Cassie, I noticed she has HUGE chunks of dandruff!

Should I be adding something into her diet? Or change shampoos? Or what?!?!

Hi pupcake, Just a thought it isnt the onset of a flea allergy is it? I only ask because Skippy had dandruff in his coat due to this. The temperature is unusually mild where I live at the moment and I got cought out.

Default snowing

My dog's got a nasty case of dandruff, he went outside and shook himself yesterday, while I was sitting in the living room, and I got excited and thought "great, it's snowing, this is going to be one magical christmas" and then I saw it was the dog. Gutted!!!!!

De-Shedding Service is on a distinguished road
Default I am a groomer & I work with dogs with skin problems

I use a salicylic acid shampoo for the dogs I groom. Dandruff could also be be caused by diet & nutrition. Sometimes weather causes dryness and dandruff. Omega 3 oils are helpful (i.e., fish oil). Relieving the condition is only a temporary fix. It is best to figure out what is causing the problem in the first place.

I am a groomer in NY. If you would like to contact me, feel free.

Oh... What breed and hair type?

I switched my dogs food over to Canidae and the dandruff went away and her coat is super shiny now............the vet suggested olive oil, but I think it was the food that did it..........
