Default cut by the groomer

i took my puppy to the groomer yesterday for his summer cut. He is a sheepdog/chow, and has long fur. I asked that they cut it short, not shaved, but short. When I picked him up he was walking funny. He couldn't take more than a couple of steps without laying down to lick himself. when I got home, i noticed a couple of nicks around his paws and sensitive areas. Today, he won't even go outside. What do I do? My puppy is in pain, and he won't even potty!!!
Any advice?
Sad and looking for help,
Ladybug

I would be so mad!!!!
I have been thinking of getting my Wookie shaved, but I think I'll stick to just doing it myself.

I agree this is not good and if there was a nick the groomer should've told you what happend and I can see how this accident may of happened, especially if he was clipper cut.
Being a Sheepdog X Chow Chow I can imagine this dog has a VERY dense coat and clipping this coat can be tricky. Seeing as you asked it to be short, but not shaved I'll assume his body was done with a comb attatchment, his genitalia clipped shorter and his feet neatened with clippers.
The skin can be quite loose around the sanitary area and in order to clip around there you need to pull the skin taught. Faliure to do that may cause the skin to feed into the clipper and become nicked and thats how this may of happened. Same with his feet, if they were trimmed using clippers the foot wasn't listed and positioned flat so the skin prob fed through the clipper.
May I ask, how bad are the nicks and am I right with what he recieved at the groomers? this will help in determining how he got them and how to make your little boy better again

i will demand an explanation to the shop what happen to my dog. You are paying them to take care of your dog and not hurt them...

Default Doggie polysporin??

Sounds like he's really irritatied... you should call your vet and ask if you they have some sauve like polysporin, or i think its Neosporin or something like that south of the border, for dogs that you could put on the irritated/nicked areas to make him feel better and keep it from getting infected.
Next time, or if, you get him groomed again tell the groomer he has sensitive skin so not to clip those areas so close.
good luck hope he feels better

Oh no! i think you should bring him to vet. It's better to consider vets advice before us.
