The number of dogs one groomer can complete in a day is going to vary depending on that particular groomers tecnique. There is usually two main techniques however there are bound to be more that are individual of different groomers. One way I've seen people work is to get a steady stream of dog in though the day and release them periodically. This means your first dog will arrive at say 9am and your last dog at say 3pm and each will be done and released within a three/four hour time space. Another way is to get all of your dogs in by about 1pm and then release them periodically. So your first dog in at 9am will be released at about 12 and with your last dog in at 1pm all your dogs will be completed by 4.30/5-ish.
I prefer to work by getting all my dogs in by 1pm and I can do about 6 small dogs a day. each small dog will take me an average of two and a half hours to complete and send home. If I work 9-5, by the time its midday, my 11.00am, 11.30am (lunch) and 1pm dog can be done/finished off while my 9.00am, 9.30am and 10.00am dogs are leaving. This system works better for me but other systems work better for other groomers, it all depends.. |
